Today’s Small Painting: The Strawberry

Today I finally got to paint in water soluble oil paint and the blending was a challenge. I actually like painting in oil over acrylics mainly because I love the smell (it makes the room smell like a real art studio) and it is more forgiving if I want to blend edges or colors together. The tough part is handling layers since adding another color with a heavy stroke will just blur the colors together. This painting is already sold which is a shock but who can resist a still life of an adorable strawberry.
