Today’s Small Painting: The Pear

This small painting was very enjoyable to create. I felt I was in the flow the entire time and my intrusive thoughts were not able to break into the session for the most part which is a wonderful feeling. Although I am working in acrylics not oil paints which dry very quickly I was able to blend some of the shades before they dried to get it to look how I wanted it to. And I really liked working with mixing my own green colors instead of having to squeeze the shades of green out of the tubes. I never would have thought that I could mix my own colors from just a few shades of red, blue and yellow and get them close to where I want them but it is getting easier and easier to do.
